Swanson Images

Doug, and Richard were able to capture these images of the Supernova SN 2011dh in M51. The two images have been capture one in April when there was no sign of the supernova, and one on June 19th at 0200 UTC almost at the peak of the activity.

Through a great deal of effort by many VBAS members, we have begun to make noticeable progress with making the Swanson 21 inch telescope functional.  Jeff Delmas provided these images that were captured by our StellaCam recently.  The images have only been mildly enhanced in Photoshop and not stacked.  The images are generally about eight second exposures.
